Nursery Theme

I wanted to announce the theme of our nursery once the whole thing was done but I can't keep it a secret any longer. Mainly because I have other posts I want to write and they all hint or completely give away the entire thing. Our nursery theme is Dr. Seuss, more specifically Cat in the Hat but some other wonderful Dr. Seuss quotes will probably be used in the room. I will share with you my inspirations for our nursery and I can only hope ours will look half as good as these. I will post the pictures but in the caption is the source so don't forget to to click those links to read more if you like it.

You can tell I loved this yellow room but I was convinced to go with the blue room. The photo directly above is a HUGE part of why I chose Dr. Seuss. I love the quote wall and feel like Dr. Seuss has the most inspiring quotes, perfect for kids and babies.

As with any theme it can be easy to get carried away. I think with this one especially since it is so whimsical. I do want to keep it simple with a few basic colors. I also don't want to go crazy with the wall decals or murals. I've seen a few that are a little much for me.

The above is neat and I bet a child would LOVE it but it's just too much going on for me and I feel like any little thing would clash with the room (for example, the Easter bunny on the dresser). We have bought several simple accessories and I'll share those with you in the near future. Until then now you know what we have chosen and seen some of my inspiration.
